Description:The church in 1979 with the Sentinels tower blocks (Clydesdale and Cleveland) looming behind. The church offered mass for the first time on 20th December 1964 and was a replacement for the demolished Victorian church which stood a little further down on The Horsefair. The church has some fine interior decoration including some wonderful memorial gates to President John F. Kennedy.
