Description:"Chitraleka Bolar, a well respected dancer in the Indian classical dance style of Baratanatyan. Bolar has made a major contribution to the West Midlands region's cultural and artistic development. She formed 'Chitraleka Dance Company' in 1990, to create and tour dance productions. In 1998 she started 'Youth Dance Company', which promotes dance / drama in the community. In the 1980's Chritaleka Bolar performed at Holyhead School, Handsworth, as part of a West Midlands Ethnic Minority Arts Service cultural event." Pogus Caesar, February 2003
