Description:This inventory appears in its entirety, page by page. Boulton & Watt had this factory built in 1796, specifically for the manufacture of their steam engines. This part of their business grew substantially from a few small workshops in Boulton's Manufactory. Steam engines continued to be manufactured here until the early 1900s.
