Description:"Born 1911 in Bynloss, Jamaica. Performed first spiritual healing age 12, converted to Christian Revivalist faith at 16 yrs old, continued to conduct services as Zion Revivalist. He was arrested twice for allegedly practising obeah. Kapo began his artistic career in 1930, losing both legs in 1980's he continued to sculpt and paint, and his work is collected in The National Gallery, Jamaica. He presented a painting as wedding gift to Charles and Diana. Kapo visited Birmingham 1986 as part of Caribbean Focus and exhibited at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. Died 24th Feb 1989."
