Description:This view of the rear of Soho House was taken in 1927 by Birmingham photographers Lewis and Randall. Soho House is the former home of industrialist and entrepreneur Matthew Boulton (1728-1809). Designed by architects James and Samuel Wyatt it was later used as a girls school. By the time of this photograph it was a hotel and went on to become a hostel for GEC apprentices and a hostel for single policemen before being restored and opened as a museum in the 1990s.
