Description:This note outlines work that was to be carried out at Soho House for the Reverend Boyle. Boyle was the vicar at nearby St Michael's church and lived at Soho House from 1860 to c.1867. The house was leased from Matthew Piers Watt Boulton, the grandson of Matthew Boulton who lived at Great Tew in Oxfordshire and London.

Boyle asked for extensive work to be carried out to the house before he would lease it including the demolition of the service wing. A sale of the contents took place at the house on 5 and 6 July 1860 at which Boyle bought the window cornices referred to in this note.

The work involved was to relaquer the curved cornice, rods and rings in the Dining and Drawing Rooms and fix brass 1 inch diameter rods for hanging pictures from in the Drawing and Breakfast Rooms.
