Date:December 1808
Description:This plan of the Dining Room at Soho House was made when a new carpet was being planned (probably by Matthew Boulton's son Matthew Robinson Boulton as Boulton himself was ill). The door is at the right of the plan with niches either side. The fireplace is at the bottom of the plan with a marble slab in front and alcoves with columns either side. These alcoves had fitted mahogany sideboards at this date. It reads 'Mr Boulton's Dining Room dimensions between the Plinth, washboards being the size of Carpet 1/2 inch to the foot Decr 1808.'
