Date:1929

Description:Purus Bakeries traded on Rookery Road at numbers 261 to 267 inclusive. The advert is interesting as it employs an approach a little beyond the norm for the times of merely listing products and services. It encourages the reader to think about the products in a different way, you can imagine people reading it and saying to someone else: "Did you know....?"
Advert taken from the programme for the Saint James' Church Fancy Fair held at the New Inns Assembly Rooms November 20th to 23rd 1929.
