Description:Tiptaft was the Independent candidate for the 1918 General Election. This poster was used to promote his list of meetings in Handsworth in the run up to the election. Tiptaft appeared at:

Kynoch's Works on Wellhead Lane
Waggon Works on Wattville Street
Kynoch's Works on Aston Lane
Tangye's on Booth Street

with a final rally at the Elite Picture House on the Soho Road.

Tiptaft lost the election to the sitting MP Ernest Claude Meysey-Thompson.
