Description:This double spouted Sheffield Plate tea vase was made in about 1810 by Matthew Boulton and Plate Company at the Soho Manufactory. By this date the business had been taken over by Matthew Boulton's son, Matthew Robinson Boulton.

This tea vase was made for use by the Boulton family and is engraved with the family coat of arms. It was purchased in 1994 with assistance from the present day Lunar Society, a group inspired by the eighteenth century society of the same name. The tea vase is on display at Soho House Museum.
