Description:Hamstead Hall was built by Sir John Wyrley in 1690, enlarged in 1735 and finally demolished in 1936 to make way for housing development.
A number of important local figures lived here including George Kynoch, M.P. for Aston and John Lewis Moilliet, a banker and the son-in-law of James Keir of the Lunar Society.
