Date:1871

Description:Lithograph by T Underwood, Birmingham.
Handsworth Hall was situated in extensive grounds covering the area of Villa Road, Rose Hill, Crick Lane and Broughton Road. The site of the actual house was at the northernmost point of Hall Road on a sharp bend. Hall Road, of course, obtains its name from the building. It was a late Georgian building with several notable owners including:
Anna Maria Sacheverell & Jane Gough in the eighteenth century and Joseph Grice JP in the nineteenth century. The area was subsequently redeveloped in 1874.
