Description:This medal was produced at Matthew Boulton's Soho Mint to commemorate the birthday of Queen Charlotte on 19 May 1795. She spent the day at Frogmore, the house built by Nash for her near Windsor.

The obverse shows Queen Charlotte, the reverse reads FROGMORE DIE XIX MAI MDCCXCV (Frogmore, 19 May 1795)

'The Gentleman's Magazine' of May 1795, records a fair held in the 'Dutch style' in honour of the Queen's birthday. 'The whole family of the House of Orange and vast numbers of the nobility etc etc were present'.
