Description:A milestone on Holyhead Road. Grade 2 listed street furniture. Dating back to around 1800, it shows a distance of 111 miles from London to Birmingham, 3 miles to Birmingham and 10 miles to Wolverhampton. Its position is very obscure as it is in the grounds of Holyhead School, and cannot be clearly seen. I was shown it as a child and have always remembered it from then.
