Description:To promote the local fire service a Community Open Day was held on June 10th 2000, This was attended by many people from the community. Handsworth Community firestation has excellent facilities for holding conferences, it has a presentation theatre and it has a regular programme of events on safety in the home, and at work, highlighting fire prevention.
