Description:A 1955 aerial photograph covering the area; road names, prominent buildings and place names have been overlaid in white to aid recognition. The Golf Course is in the bottom left of the picture. Still visible is the site of Hamstead Colliery. Middle bottom can be seen Hamstead Hall Secondary School.
