Description:A newscutting reporting the court case following a shooting accident. Henry Haseler, a jeweller of St Peter's Road, Handsworth had been out shooting at Half-way Farm and returning to the farmyard with his gun still loaded began talking to Arthur Chislet, the farm bailiff. Haseler began to wipe the barrel of the gun which went off hitting Chislet in the foot which later had to be amputated.
The injury meant Chislet could no longer work and he sought to recover damages from Haseler.
