Date:1st of December 1888

Description:This newcutting deals with the inquest into the death of Mrs Elizabeth Wells of Warren Farm, Perry Barr. She had been killed when her trap overturned after the horse shied at a wagon. The missing portion at the bottom of the cutting states that the Coroner felt 'Wild Tom' was an unsuitable person to be in charge of a horse. The verdict was accidental death with sympathy expressed to the family and a wish that the Coroner ask the proper authorities to consider widening the road.
