Description:This newscutting from the G.H. Osborne collection deals with the death of Mrs Elizabeth Wells. Mrs Wells was the wife of Austin L. Wells of Warren Farm, Perry Barr. She was being driven to Birmingham by her groom in a trap but close to the Boar's Head the horse shied at a wagon and the trap overturned. Mrs Wells was thrown out and killed. A report on the inquest is also available on this site.

Warren Farm formed part of the Perry Hall estate. A picture of the farmhouse is available elsewhere on this site.
