Description:This is a view of the last Hamstead Hall built around 1794 while the previous Hamstead Hall (about 450 yards west) was still standing! Amonst many notable occupants was John Lewis Moilliet originally from Geneva, and son-in-law of James Keir of the Lunar Society.
