A caricature and brief description of the career of George Baines of Handsworth.
He owned 2 of the "best farms in the Perry Barr district" and entered the Handsworth Council in 1895. He was one of the founders of the Perry Barr and District Agricultural Society and had always been prominent in philanthropic movements.
