Description:A newspaper cutting taken from the Sutton Coldfield and Erdington Times November,22nd 1889.
This is a brief report following the discovery of a womans body in a pool on Mr Austin Well's farm, near Holly Lane, Perry Barr. The corpse was removed to the Hare and Hounds public house, where an inquest was to be held.
The body was thought to be of a woman of about 45 years of age, 5ft.3in height. She was wearing a black silk dress, elastic sided cloth boots and maroon stockings.
The wife of Mr Thomas Richards a nuisance inspector of West Bromwich had been reported missing and at this time it was felt her description might match that of the drowning victim.
