Date:1905

Description:A newspaper cutting from the Handsworth Herald, May 13th 1905. This is a report on the discovery of a semi-concious man being found lying in Rocky Lane.
It was later discovered by Police-constable Potts that his name was Thomas Gibbons and he had travelled from Manchester to find work in the Midlands. He had been overcome with fatigue and hunger and had lain for two days in an outhouse.
He was later taken to the West Bromwich Workhouse infirmary.
