Date:1925

Description:The original 9 hole course was laid out in 1895 on land surrounding The Austins now Sandwell Recreation Ground).

The club moved to its present site in 1896 on land leased from the Earl of Dartmouth. This clubhouse was added in 1905.

The pool was created several hundred years ago by damming the Hawthorn Brook, probably to provide fish for Sandwell Benedictine Priory or the Friary.
