Description:Charles Walter Radclyffe (1817-1903). Radclyffe was born in Birmingham, the son of William Radclyffe, and lived and worked in Monument Lane for much of his life. His work is predominately of landscapes and rural scenes but also some coastal scenes, buildings, figures and domestic interiors. He exhibited prolifically - 454 works between 1846-1902 in Birmingham. His forte was as a watercolourist but, as with his works of Perry Hall, he also practised lithography. One of Radclyffe's paintings can be seen at the Victoria and Albert Museum. He is listed in the local trade directories between 1855 - 1899 and he was elected as a member of the Birmingham Society of Artists in 1846.

These lithographs of Perry Hall were published by Wrightson and Webb of New Street in Birmingham. The originals are held by the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
