Description:Situated on Aldridge Road, Perry Barr; the Boar's Head Inn served the district from 1758 until it was demolished in 1936 and replaced by a new inn with the same name. Originally it was called the Gough Arms - the Boar's Head being the heraldic device of the local Gough family. The soldiers sent to arrest the forger William Booth stopped here for refreshments on the way to Booth's Farm.
