Description:The Friary and Lodge stood on Friary Road. The Friary was built in 1658 and demolished in 1937 as part of the Grestone development. The black and white half timbered effect was added sometime after 1906.

Occupants included the Freer family, a Mr Birch, Frederick Walton, a mnufacturing jeweller and Walter Griffith.
