Description:A poster advertising the delights to be had at Soho Pool. This pool had formed part of Matthew Boulton's landscaped park around Soho House. His grandson Matthew Piers Watt Boulton moved away from Birmingham, letting Soho House and Manufactory and building houses on the parkland.

In 1852 Soho Pool was let to John Abraham for boating and fishing. Soon afterwards it was taken over by John Knibb who extended the range of attractions. The Birmingham Journal of 7 July 1855 stated that a newly formed promenade now reached round the lake and linked through to the pleasure grounds of Mr T. Hodgetts at Park Cottage Tavern.

The pool was drained in 1868.
