Description:This is a photograph of a lithograph of Soho Lake or Pool, Soho Park in 1854 by Jas. Corder, Lithographer, 83 New Street.

Soho Pool had formed part of Matthew Boulton's landscaped park around Soho House. His grandson Matthew Piers Watt Boulton moved away from Birmingham, letting Soho House and Manufactory and building houses on the parkland. In 1852 Soho Pool was let to John Abraham for boating and fishing. Soon afterwards it was taken over by John Knibb who extended the range of attractions. The pool was drained in 1868.
