Description:The Ivy House public house, Handsworth, situated at 72 Soho Road, on the corner of Soho Road and Ivy Road. This is the 'new' Ivy House, a twentieth-century building that replaced an earlier coaching house situated a short distance along Soho Road at the corner of Whitehall Road.

During the 1990's this public house was renamed as The Gateway to India and is known locally as "the GTI".
