Description:Soho House, Handsworth, the former home of Matthew Boulton, in 1969 when it was being used as a hostel for single policemen.

To the left of the photograph behind the tree is a brick flat roofed extension added in the 1930s when the house was a hotel. It was taken down as part of the restoration of Soho House in the 1990s.
