Date:1951

Description:The place is Calthorpe Park; the statue in the background is that of Robert Peel which was moved later (1963) to the Police Training College just further along the Pershore Road - although the base remains in the park to this day. The photo can be fairly accurately dated (circa ’51) due to Andy’s daughter, Olive, being pictured. She is the little girl front centre in the dark dress. She was born in 1949. All the Bartley sisters are featured too. Left to right: Lily, seated, Veronica, Joyce, May, Olive, Angela, and Rosaleen. They would have walked down to the park from their home in Mary Street.
