Description:The Imperial, Moseley Road, was built by Harry Grigg, a local pork butcher. From the beginning it was a huge success, and was noted for its 'select and high class audience'. The first manager was George Harris, who brought with him Mr W. Burtenshaw from Blackpool, believed to be the finest picture house pianist in the United Kingdom.
