Date:1928 - 1985 (c.)

Description:A late cinematic arrival in the district, opening on Whit Monday, 28 May 1928. It was exceedingly luxurious, with a passenger lift to the balcony seats and a cinema organ. On 25 October 1940 it was bombed, with loss of life. The cinema reopened in December 1943, closed in 1983 and was demolished in December 1985.
