Description:The remains of Rickman Drive in process of demolition. Rickman Drive was part of the Lee Bank development - the state of disrepair of which led eventually to the latest redevelopment by Crest Nicholsona and Optima Community Association. Apart from the piles of rubble the picture is interesting for the exposed wall coverings. To some older residents this must have been evocative of the blitz in World War Two which affected this area. Looming in the background is Haddon Tower which this summer (2006) was itself demolished.
