Description:Shakespeare Road, Ladywood, looking towards Garbett Street at the bottom of Alexandra Road These Victorian terraces may be undistinguished, but the corner shop with a chimney stack directly above the door seems architecturally rather unusual. The photograph was taken in 1960 before wholesale redevelopment of the area. Neither of these roads exists today.
