Date:20th of July 1960

Description:59 Wheeley's Lane, Lee Bank, photographed on 20 July 1960. In the directories G.M. Jones is listed as a beer retailer, the name over the shop window indicating that the beer in question was Ansells. More interesting for some might be the Bond three-wheeler car parked outside, one of several three-wheelers seen on the roads around this time. Mr Jones would not be plying his trade for much longer as the area was soon to be redeveloped.
