Description:By 1851 Soho House was owned by Matthew Piers Watt Boulton, the grandson of the industrialist Matthew Boulton. As he lived mainly at Great Tew in Oxfordshire and in London he decided to let Soho House and this inventory was taken as part of the process of clearing the house. Mr and Mrs Kimnell were acting as caretakers while the house was empty. It was not actually let until 1852 when a manufacturer named Alfred Toy moved in. He also rented parts of the Soho Manufactory.
