Date:16th of February 1811
Description:This is a copy of a bill from James Wyatt for work done in 1796 on drawings for alterations at Soho House. Plans and elevations were drawn for various proposals along with details such as an elevation, section, shutter plan and cornice detail for the proposed venetian window, entablature for the house, the window in Boulton's bedroom and the portico. Some of these drawings are in the collection of Birmingham City Archives. The bill was produced to accompany a letter from James Wyatt to Matthew Robinson Boulton on 16th February 1811 (also available on the site). In it Wyatt explains to MR Boulton that he has still not been paid for this work which was done for his father, Matthew Boulton. The wrapper of the letter notes that the bill was finally ordered to be paid on 13th February 1812.
