There has been considerable confusion by writers over the years in distinguishing between the three Soho sites:
The Soho Manufactory
The Soho Mint
The Soho Foundry

The confusion has been made worse by a failure to distinguish between the firm of Boulton and Watt, the best known, and the many other firms founded by Matthew Boulton.
